Day 24- enjoying the mountains. When we woke up today it was 44 degrees. After an all night rain and wind, the rain had stopped and we felt it was going to end up sunny. Joe wanted to drive around to see the sights. It was beautiful. We noticed that the mountains looked like they had snow on them. They did. We tried to get some decent photos, but an IPhone doesn’t even begin to show the depth and beauty. Todd had offered his camera for the trip but Joe said no. He’s sorry now. He is dissatisfied with how his IPhone takes pictures. We drove to a ski resort and it was beautiful. The runs were not snow covered, just the peaks. We were at about 6,000 ft. while driving, and the snow covered peaks were higher than that. We figured that they were between 8-10,000 ft. The mountain range is the Wastach Mountains. (Spelling eludes me) They are considered part of the central Rocky Mountains. I can certainly understand why folks want to stay out west. It feels so expansive. One mo...
